Hey, I would like to tell you the brief story about my life BEFORE I met Jesus. I was born in Philly, PA and grew up in a big family of 9 children (7 boys, 2 girls). I am the youngest. I’m three years younger than the next brother in line. That made things difficult for me to have similar interests like sports. I started developing an interest in music (voice) and reading.

Sadly, one of my brothers developed cancer at age 15 (I was 11) and he died on my birthday in 1972. That left me feeling lonely, hopeless, and in despair. Through his death, my family connected with a church. When I started attending, I fell in love with the people and everything about the church. I met some great new friends and felt a renewed sense of hope and direction. The following summer I attended camp with my church and heard a speaker sharing a message about Jesus dying on the cross and raising from the grave to save us. He also said that before Jesus went to the cross, He prayed for everyone who would believe in Him including me! That night around a campfire in the Pocono Mountains of Pa., I gave my life to Jesus and He forgave me of all my sins and became my Savior. And that is HOW I met Jesus.

Now I’m married (Lori) and have one daughter (Victoria). My life SINCE coming to know Jesus has not always been good or perfect. Even for believers, life comes with challenges, but with Christ we can have peace that He will never leave us, and anyone who calls on His name shall be saved.

Keith has a Master’s Degree from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary along with an undergraduate degree in business from Limestone College. Keith has been on staff at FBC since 2006. His responsibilities include administration, education, outreach, and senior adult ministry.

I was raised to be a Christian and thought I was until late into high school. At that time, I realized I had a lot of Bible knowledge, but no real faith. I was living in disobedience to God, and I knew it. I was depressed, struggling with addiction, and disgusted with the life I was living.

Then a friend invited me to a youth group where I heard about Christ’s love and forgiveness, and it became personal to me. I realized He knew me by name and was calling me to be His, wow!

Since then, I’ve aimed to worship Him and enjoy Him in everything I do. I love Him because He first loved me.

I met my beautiful wife, Cassidy, at that same youth group, and we now have a wonderful daughter named Winnie. I’ve had the privilege of earning a degree in Music and Worship from Lee University and am continuing my studies at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary as I pursue an MDiv. I enjoy songwriting, fishing, boat rides, and hanging out with my family.

My walk with Christ hasn’t been perfect, and life can still be tough, but now I have an eternal hope. Hope that Christ is always with me, working in me, and He has overcome the world.
